Scholarship
$1000 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Scholarships will be awarded to a female, high school senior who plans to attend a 4-year public institution or a 2-year community college in Louisiana. There will be one scholarship award presented this year.
All applications are reviewed and awarded by the scholarship committee. Each application is scored equally across 5 categories: character, leadership, republican values, academics, and volunteerism.
Scholarship funds are paid in full directly to the individual recipients who are named on the night of our May club meeting. The individual receiving the award will be given their scholarship funds upon verified registration from the institution they are attending. This is a one-time scholarship award. Our goal is to provide scholarships to a recipient in 2024.
ELIGIBILITY
Lafayette Parish Resident
The student's primary address must be in Acadiana.
Fleur De Lis Republican Women's Club Affiliation
The student must be related to or sponsored by a Fleur De Lis Republican Club member who has an ACTIVE club membership status, which means they are not an active member of another Louisiana Federation of Republican Women Club.
One Time Award
This is a one-time scholarship award. Once you have received a scholarship award from Fleur De Lis Republican Women's Club, you will not be eligible for applying the following years.
Must Register for a Louisiana Institution
Applicants must plan to attend an accredited 4-year degree granting institution or a 2-year technical college in Louisiana. Award winners must verify registration before receiving scholarship.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS
Applications for the scholarship will close on April 20th at 12am
What next? I've submitted my application.
Scholarship recipients will be announced by the end of April and acknowledged on May 11th during our monthly Fleur De Lis Republican Women's club meeting.

The scholarship program is administered through the club and is under the direction of the current President, Donna Pelletier, the Fleur De Lis Republican Women's Club board, and the Scholarship Committee. The scholarship committee consists of a minimum of three club members who meet to provide direction for the committee.
